2021 Year End Letter

Dear Friend of Udac,

Happy Holidays! As we approach the end of the year, our thoughts fondly turn to Udac’s amazing friends and donors. We are grateful to you for your ongoing faith in our ability to assist differently-abled individuals to achieve their goals and find success in the community. Thank you for your support!!

This past year was remarkable in many ways. The individuals the Udac team is privileged to serve have reached new levels of integrated community success.

  • Rodney is working at a job that is possible through his hard work and willingness to grow his professionalism. In February he was honored as an Employee of the Month!
  • Chrissy is independent in her employment and was able to celebrate her successes with a trip to Arizona.
  • Donny is now able to manage community transportation and work on his own. He recently helped celebrate his employer’s recognition as a Disability Employer of the Year in Minnesota.
  • Ben, Jess, Jen, Tracy, Sarah, Jacob, Becky, Paul and other members of the Udac Garden Club, raised and donated over 180 pounds of fresh food to CHUM. Food that was planted, nurtured and harvested as part of the Udac volunteer garden project.
  • Janelle and Donny were volunteers with other community members in the Art in the Alley painting project.

Volunteers gave back to the community in many ways - Bentleyville, the Alzheimer’s Walk, and Grandma’s Marathon. Community inclusion for individuals of all abilities is working. Thank you for making all of this and much more possible.

You make a difference in the lives of differently-abled individuals and your support of our work is making an impact. Our recent virtual Impact Ask Gala raised over $65,000!! We are nearly to our 2021 goal of $75,000. Please consider a year-end gift to support the success of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their goals to be inclusive members of our community. You make a difference. Thank you!

Thank you for your continued effort to keep yourself and others safe from COVID-19.

Warm regards for a blessed holiday season,

Karen Herman
